Greta and Dan are one of the sweetest couples I've ever photographed - so kind and sincere - and their wedding was one of the sweetest I've ever been to.
They chose not to do a first look, but since they were both getting ready at the same place (the Turkey Run Inn), we took a couple of quick "before" photos.
After everyone was ready, I took the guys outside for a few quick photos before the ceremony.
Then it was the girls' turn. Since we got a little unexpected rain overnight, we stayed upstairs on the veranda for their photos.
This was such a pretty wedding, with lots of fun details. I didn't think to ask, but I think the smores favors were probably because Dan proposed on a camping trip. Cute, right?
This was a very, very sweet ceremony. It was so nice to see how much support they had from family and friends and how happy they were and how happy everyone was for them.
I've seen the sand ceremony done before, but this was a little different. Usually, the bride and groom each pour in a different color of sand, and just like you could never separate all that sand back into the different colors, you should never be able to break the bond between a husband and wife. For Greta and Dan's ceremony, the pastor also poured in another color to symbolize God's part in the marriage. I thought it was a really great addition to the ceremony.
The best part about the ceremony? The kiss. Their first kiss. Ever.
We only had about a half an hour between the ceremony and reception, so we did the family photos super quick right outside the inn, then walked just a little way to Sunset Point for some photos of the whole wedding party.
After the wedding party photos, I sent everyone else away so we could get through Greta and Dan's photos quickly so they could get back to their guests...and so they could have a few minutes alone.
The reception was just as fun and sweet as the rest of the day.
I'll post more photos from Greta and Dan's wedding on my facebook page later this week.
