Now that fall is officially here, I thought I should get around to sharing some summer photos of my kids. Other than the football photos (which were taken at the high school), most of the others were taken either in our yard or within a half a mile of our house. Have I mentioned how much I love living out here? I've had so much fun this year experimenting with different locations on and around our property, and luckily my kids are usually pretty happy to pose for me.
First up is Joey. This was his fourth (and next to last) year in youth football. I will freely admit that I seriously dislike football season, just because it takes up so much of our time, but I am so glad that he found a sport he likes and is learning so much about teamwork, perseverance, and hard work.
Abbie is growing up way too fast, but it's been fun watching her personality change and grow and see her become the spunky and silly girl she is today.
Jack started kindergarten this year. I was super worried about him, because he was so painfully shy and not always good at controlling his temper. But he has really surprised us and is doing so well. He's learning to read and doing a great job at it and making friends and just generally having a great time. I'm so proud of him!
We live just down the road from the school, so we spent lots of time playing on the playground there this summer.
These two photos of Joey were taken at Fairbanks Park in Terre Haute.
We have this tree by our barn that has these branches that hang down to the ground. Since we first bought this place, I've been wanting to take this photo, and it took until August to get the swing hung and have the right combination of a sunny morning, free time, and Abbie awake early. It was definitely worth the wait - these are some of my very favorite photos of Abbie.
These photos of Jonah were taken at Deming Park in Terre Haute. He is becoming quite a hilarious and talkative and imaginative little guy. We've been having lots of fun with just the two of us at home while the other kids are at school, but he is eagerly awaiting the time when he is 5 and can ride the school bus too.
I took this photo of Jonah as were leaving the school playground one evening.
This is another one of those photos I've been planning for a while. Jonah is all about cars (and anything with wheels, really), so this was the perfect setup for him.
